Coursework: “Research on Linux and Windows Operating Systems commands and their applications in Cloud computing Platforms”
ASSESSMENT DUE DATE: 11TH JANUARY 2021
This Research is on “Linux and Windows Operating Systems commands and their applications in Azure and AWS Cloud computing Platforms”.
1.0 Course Work and Assessment:
This course work constitutes 25% of the overall module assessment. The assignment must be carried out as an individual or a group of max of 2 students in a group. Each student must conduct a literature review on modern Operating Systems commands and their application in the implementation of cloud platforms.
Note, please follow the step below to do your work:
CN7029 Computer Architecture and Networks
TASK 1 – OPERATING SYSTEMS
The first part of the course work is to conduct research work on any modern Linux and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. You are required to critically analyse some new design features in these two Operating Systems.
Then select 10 Commands Line Interface (CLI) commands and illustrate how they are used in Linux and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. Take screenshots and document the work carried out.
TASK 2 – CLOUD COMPUTING PLATFORMS
The second part of the course work is to critically compare Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud computing platforms. Then select 5 of the Commands Line Interface (CLI) commands and demonstrate how they are implemented in Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud.
TASK 3 – EVALUATION (INDIVIDUAL)
Write a reflective evaluation of the commands selected and used in the course work and justify why these commands were chosen. Briefly explain your findings on how these commands are used in modern operating systems. Discuss how you demonstrated your implementation in Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
CN7029 Computer Architecture and Networks
TASK 4 – CONCLUSION (INDIVIDUAL)
Write a conclusion, which summaries the work is done.
Note the following:
- Your evaluation and conclusion must be supported by the literature review, with citations and
- The work must have references with in-text citations using Harvard Referencing
- Attached are some operating system commands, which will help you to carry out the tasks listed above.
- The pass mark for course work is 50% and students must gain it to
